Mentoring

So what is the difference between coaching and mentoring

Coaching and mentoring are different development approaches based on the use of one-to-one conversations to enhance an individual’s skills, knowledge and ultimately performance.

Coaching is unlocking a person’s potential to maximise their own performance. It is helping them to learn by asking exploratory questions creating new lines of thought, rather than directly teaching them.

Mentoring is more development driven, I specialise in mentorship specifically relating to career development. Looking not just at the professional’s current job function but beyond.   Often people that come to me directly for mentorship end up also undertaking some coaching as they are complimentary to each other though its important to reinforce they are very different processes.

What areas of your career can mentoring help you with?

Some of the areas I have mentored around are:

  • Career progression, how to achieve it and sustain it
  • Preparing for job interviews
  • How to engage and motivate teams
  • How to handle difficult work related situations
  • Confidence within the work place
  • Return to work after an absence (maternity leave, sick leave etc)

Pricing:- Mentoring is £75 per 60 minute session. Minimum 2 sessions.
